Obesity is called Stholya in Ayurveda. obesity occurs as a result of excessive accumulation of Med or Vasa (which is a sort of fat or lipid) in the folds of tissues.
Prevention is always being better than cure. Balanced diet, Regular exercise, and Yoga can keep you fit and healthy.
Life modification is the best solution to deal with obesity.
One should start with small quantity of about 10 grams or a tablespoon, taken with hot water early in the morning. A teaspoonful of fresh lemon juice may also be added.
Take several times a day at regular intervals.
This is known as Vyayam in Ayurveda.
