Panchakarma Treatment in Bhosari, which includes five major procedures, is meant to purify the whole body by eliminating the accumulated toxins from it. This package includes treatments like Vamana (Emesis), Virechana (Purgation), Basti (Medicated Enema), Nasya (Nasal Administration) & Rakta Mokshan (Blood letting). Panchakarma - The Ayurvedic Detox
Toxins from chemicals in our food, pollution in the environment, drinking, smoking, stress, chemical medication, etc. all accumulate in our body over a period of time. The scientific proof
It has now been scientifically proven that a natural purification treatment can successfully eliminate environmentally toxic substances such as polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB's) and pesticides from the body, without any negative side effects. A study at the Institute of Science, Technology and Public Policy at Maharishi University of Management in Fairfield, Iowa in collaboration with a special laboratory at Colorado University demonstrated that classical Panchakarma treatment eliminated up to 50% of the detectable toxins in the blood.

Deepana and Pachana (Digestion):

Snehana (Internal and External oleation):
This includes snehan that can be done both internally (Medicated ghees or oils are administered orally for the purpose of Internal Oleation (Snehapana) as well as externally (synchronized massage).

Swedana (Fomentation/sudation):
Swedan (Sudation) like Bashpa-swed, Nadi-swed, Pind- swed etc,
Oleation and Sudation are the most important preparatory measures to have Panchakarma (purification therapies Both these methods lubricate the body channels and loosen the toxins accumulated in the body
2. Pradhan Karma (Main methods):
In the Eliminative Phase, the physician, based upon the condition of the patient's disease, decides the type of the Panchakarma treatment. It includes 5 main types of panchakarma i.e. 5 types of purification procedure, which are: Vaman, Virechan, Nasya, Raktamokshan & Basti.
3. Paschat Karma (Post-Therapeutic Measures):
This includes Sansarjan Krama (Specific diet), Dhumapana (nasal smoking of medicinal cigars) and some rules to follow specific activities.
Rakta Mokshan (Blood Letting)
Rakta mokshana is letting the vitiated blood out of the body. It is done locally at the site of disease e.g. skin eruptions etc or wholly by dissecting a vein local raktamokshana is generally done by leeches. Rakta mokshana is very useful in skin, hair, muscular tissue in involvements inflammatory conditions. Systemic Rakta mokshan helps in high blood pressure.

Vamana (Induced Vomiting)
It relieves kapha and pitta dosha from upper part of the body throught the rout of mouth (Vomiting). It is indicated in diseases like

Virechana
Virechana helps in eliminating of pitta dosha by downward movement(Purgative). Virechana stabilizes pitta dosha and metabolic disorders in our body. Doshas exit through the intestines and anal rout after the taken drug gets digested.
Virechana is indicated in various skin diseases, metabolic disturbances, bleeding disorders, piles, fistula, worm infestations, headache[migraine], anemia, jaundice, asthma-bronchial diseases.

Nasya
Nasya is administration of medicine= decoction, oil, powder, ghee, etc. through nose.
The head, face, shoulders and chest are massaged with a specific herbal oil and made to perspire. The medicine in exact dose is poured into the nostrils while inhaling. After this, the nose area, chest, palms and foot are massaged vigorously. This treatment is highly effective against headaches, sinusitis, migraine and rhinitis.
It gives instantaneous relief and is highly effective as it acts through the nasal mucosa which has connections with all internal lining of the organs. Nasya is indicated in

Basti
It is of 2 types-
- Anuvasana (Medicated oil enema)
- Asthapana (Medicated decoction enema)
Basti is the simplest of all karmas but highly effective in lower part of the body. It is administered in 3 routes -
- Anal root
- Urethral root
- Vaginal root
It is said that the medicines given through anal root are absorbed very quickly in to the body streams. Basti acts on the Vata Dosha and stabilizes it. Basti is of many functional types - cleansing, soothing, nutritive, lubricating, strengthening, anti-aging, scraping/reducing, immunity enhancing basti, aphrodisiac basti. etc.
Basti is indicated in
